Challenge
As part of the group’s growth strategy, I was brought in to appraise a potential acquisition that offered valuable IP and distribution capabilities. The business needed to move quickly — but without compromising on diligence, valuation, or integration planning. Success would require a full commercial, operational, and financial evaluation within a compressed timeline, followed by a seamless handover and long-term value realisation.

Approach
I led the entire appraisal process, starting with commercial and financial due diligence across all key areas: IP, contracts, team, and logistics capability. I built valuation models to test different scenarios and synergies, including impact on group margins and cash flow. I worked closely with legal advisors on deal terms and risk allocation, then guided the business through negotiation and integration.

Post-completion, I stayed actively involved in aligning systems, onboarding the acquired team, and ensuring operational continuity. The IP and logistics assets were successfully absorbed into the group and helped accelerate fulfilment and brand reach.
